Accessibility

What we have built into this site, the standard we are working to, and how to tell us when it falls short.

Last updated August 26, 2026

We want this site to be usable by everyone who wants to read it, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or a browser set to reduce motion.

What is built in

These are specific and testable rather than a statement of intent.

  • Every page is written in semantic HTML with one main heading and a heading structure that follows the content.
  • The whole site is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline on every interactive element and a skip link to the main content.
  • The dropdown menus, the testimonial carousel and the coach selector follow the ARIA patterns for their roles, including arrow-key navigation and type-ahead where a native control would have them.
  • Every animation on the site respects the operating system's reduce-motion setting and lands on its finished state instead of moving.
  • Content is rendered on the server. Every page is readable with JavaScript switched off, which also matters for screen readers that struggle with scripted content.
  • Body text is set at a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5 to 1 against its background, and interactive targets are at least 44 pixels.
  • Every image carries alternative text, and the content system will not accept one without it.
  • The layout reflows to a single column on small screens and does not require horizontal scrolling.

The standard we work to

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.

We aim at that standard and we have not had this site independently audited against it, so we do not claim formal conformance. If you find something that falls short, we would rather hear about it than have it stay broken.

Known limitations

The testimonial carousel advances on its own. It stops permanently as soon as you use its controls, pauses while it has focus or the pointer is over it, and does not auto-advance at all when your browser asks for reduced motion. If this still causes difficulty, tell us and we will change it.

Some case study material and client logos originate as images supplied by other organizations. Where the text inside such an image matters, we describe it in the alternative text, but the underlying image is not something we can restructure.
